Following its escape from
Heliopolis,
and return to the
Orb Union,
the
Astray Gold Frame
undergoes a series of repairs and improvements, under the supervision of its pilot Rondo Ghina Sahaku. Its damaged head is rebuilt, and its lost right arm is replaced with one salvaged from the
Earth Alliance'sBlitz Gundam.
The Gold Frame has also been equipped with the same
Mirage Colloid
technology as the Blitz Gundam, and its armor is painted black to improve the effectiveness of this stealth system. This is only the first of several planned improvements, and the Gold Frame Amatu is still considered incomplete when it sorties to attack the
mass driver
known as Gigafloat.
