This is a simplified version of the Core Booster assigned to the carrier
White Base,
designed for atmospheric flight. Aside from a single
vulcan gun,
its armament appears to be limited to anti-ground bombs and
missiles,
making the Jet Core Booster essentially a replacement for the
Federation's
conventional bomber planes. Still, it's quick and cheap to produce, and the Federation is able to deploy scores of these aircraft for the final assault on
Zeon's
secret development base.
